In this blog we compare Lithium Ion and Lead Acid Battery..
Structure :
In Lithium Ion Battery, lithium ion at anode moves from negative charge to positive charge and while discharging moves from positive to negative charge.
In Lead Acid Battery, Sulphuric acid and Two electrodes plays crucial role in this battery.
Portability :
Size of Lithium Battery is small compared to Lead Acid Battery so even portability also more easy in lithium ion battery. One more thing is in lead acid battery , acid may be overflow while transporting.
Fast charging :
Lithium Ion battery is latest technology and
it support fast charging but Lead acid battery takes more time to charge
Efficiency :
Coming to battery efficiency Lithium ion battery give more efficiency compared to lead acid battery.
Charge Cycles :
Charge Cycles decides life span of battery. Charge cycles of lithium ion battery are more than lead acid battery so lithium battery works more years.
Maintenance :
In Lead acid battery, we need to check acid levels and need maintenance but in lithium battery its not required inbuilt BMS (Battery Management System) take care of battery health.
Conclusion :
If you want to buy a battery at cheap cost and satisfies with slow charging, less charge cycles, heavy size etc., you can choose lead acid battery
If you want to buy a battery with latest technology and latest features like fast charging, small size, more charge cycles, easy portability etc., you can choose Lithium Ion battery.
